The Rough Guide to Andalucia 6 (Rough Guide Travel Guides)

The Rough Guide to Andalucia 6 (Rough Guide Travel Guides) Review

This high quality guideline is 50% more often the Lonely Planet travel guide to Andalusia, but is not too large or too heavy for a light software. (But I do not want it any more difficult than this.) There's No Filler, is full of practical information.

The "Let's Go" guides written by undergrads and have an excellent list of accommodations and eats, but the rest tend to be immature and scaremongering Purple Prose. (I'll never forget this comment on Morocco: "But beware, camelsis known to bring syphilis. "OK, how many people do you know that syphilis was caught by a camel?) I call it" Let's Go "because I'm always trying to scare. Other travelers I've had similar comments, and once met on a trip to train, we had some laughs swapping quotes ridiculous.

Rick Steves is too political for me. Its "leaders" to read as boring spots of negative campaigning or polemical anti-American.

This guide is about Andalusia. It begins witha section called "34 Do not miss", with a beautiful color photos of each, including a good index, maps clear and legible, and a section on Gibraltar. All opening / closing were for exactly the places I went. Those who like to be intelligent historical context and comment like this.

There are logistical information about Madrid, but that's OK: those that can land there at the top "i" stand at the airport Barajas and Atocha (railway station) for free maps and friendlyIn English.

Prices for housing are not available, because they vary according to season, but good values. The money is part of the blue "correct" currency transfer offices at railway stations, the fees exorbitant (like the 25% warning!) Into account and are refusing to cancel the transaction if they have your money. (They show different prices for three ranges of quantity, but the highest fee, regardless of how it would be a crime in most places.) Please note that prices onthat's all after the introduction of the euro has grown enormously: the Ave (AHH-vay), an express train service between Madrid and Seville, will cost € 70 each way by taxi (!) and were what I expected that the pay of the United States (tapas still a bargain.) Moreover, I suggest a look at free online State Department consular information sheet - your tax U.S. dollars at work.
